Day
1 - Arrive Cochin
Arrive
at Cochin where our representative will meet you
at the Airport to extend a warm welcome to Kerala
– sometimes referred to as the Florida of
India. Direct Transfer to the Hotel & relax.
Later
board a boat to see the backwaters and canals
of Cochin. See the Dutch connection in Cochin
– the Dutch Palace. Make a brief stopover
at India’s only Jewish synagogue at Mattancherry.See
the historic St. Francis Church. Get photographed
in front of it. & then proceed to have wonderful
picture-postcard views of Chinese fishing nets
at Fort Cochin.
In
the evening, visit a superb private establishment
in downtown Cochin to enjoy Kathakali –
the exotic and universally popular performing
art of Kerala. ‘Mudra & Make-up’
demonstration follows the performance. Ask the
knowledgeable host questions about this magnificent
art. The two hours pass too soon.
Back
to your hotel. Enjoy a Kerala dinner with seafood
specialties. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day
2 - Guruvayoor & Punnathoor Kotta
After
breakfast, proceed straightaway to Guruvayoor
to reach the temple town before noon . Check into
your pilgrim resort. You have time to go to the
temple for worship. Please note that non-Hindus
are not allowed inside the temple.
After
the visit to the Temple, proceed to an exciting
and unusual place – the sprawling shelter
of forty-five elephants belonging to the Guruvayoor
temple. This elephant haven is called Punnathoor
Kotta. Click away memorable snaps!
Overnight
at the Resort.
Day
3 - Vythiri – The Green Magical Land
After
breakfast, proceed to Vythiri – one of the
lesser known, but enchanting hideaways in the
forest-fringed Wayanad District. Arrive at Vythiri
by evening. Check into your resort set in picturesque
country. Overnight at Vythiri.
Day
4 - Enjoy Vythiri & Visit Pookote Lake
After
breakfast, we go for a local sightseeing trip
in and around Vythiri. Enjoy boating at Pookote
Lake and later visit a spice centre. Buy small
sachets of different spices as exotic souvenirs
to take home. You can also visit the Soochipara
Waterfalls and other neighbouring locations.
Back to the Resort & Overnight stay.
Day
5 - Outskirts of Vythiri & Visit Tholpetty
sanctuary
After
breakfast, embark upon a thrilling journey to
the Tholpetty sanctuary, abundant with wild Elephants
& Deer. *A Jeep Safari through the Tholpetty
Wildlife Sanctuary - a thrilling experience, a
visit to Thirunelli, the divine pilgrim centre
is also breath taking! Back to the resort by evening
& overnight stay.

6 - Transfer to Calicut/Cochin
After
breakfast, check out of your resort, and we will
leave you at Calicut or drive to Cochin –
the starting point of your excursion, where the
journey ends.
