01 / Arrival Jaipur
Arrive Jaipur, Meet assist at the airport &
transfer to hotel.
Jaipur- the fabled 'pink city'of the desert
named after Jai Singh, the former Maharaja of
Jaipur. This is the only city in the world symbolizing
the nine divisions of the universe through the
nine rectangular sectors subdividing it. The palaces
and forts of the yesteryears, which were witnesses
to the royal processions and splendours, are now
living monuments.

02 / Jaipur
After a leisurely breakfast, visit the majestic
Amber Fort, one that cannot be easily described.
You ride up on Elephants to the former capital
of the royals set against the backdrop of the
wooded hills. Post lunch tour of the Palace of
Winds also known as Hawa Mahal. This elaborate
building, now little more than a façade,
is encrusted with delicate screens and carved
balconies from which the royal ladies, confined
to their quarters, could sneakily view the outside
world. Past, present and future merge at Jai
Singh's observatory, where time has been accurately
measured since the 17th century. Later also visit
Birla Mandir - a unique monument with exquisite
marble carvings. In the evening enjoy your dinner
at Chokhi dani (an ethnic village resort)
where you will have an idea of the village life
of Rajasthan. Also enjoy various traditional Rajasthani
dances, puppet show and various other interesting
activities. Overnight at hotel.

03 / Jaipur-Ajmer (By Road - 131kms - 03hrs)
Morning drive to Ajmer - Where two cultures meet.
Temples and mosques within a short distance of
each other. The harmonious blend of Hinduism and
Islam gives this town a unique character. Arrive
Ajmer. Later an excursion tour of Pushkar
- (11kms from Ajmer) Quiet and tranquil, Pushkar
is a heaven for tourist searching for nirvana.
A religious town built around a lake, it is best
known for the annual camel/cattle fair that turns
the the bleak landscape into a riot of colour.
After pushkar sightseeing drive back to Ajmer.

04 / Ajmer
Full day sightseeing of Ajmer visiting Anasagar
- an artificial lake. On one embankment is the
marble 'baradaries' (pavilions) erected by Shahajahan
in 1637 and on the other side a park (Daulat Bagh).
Later visit the Dargarh - Located in the heart
of the old city is the tomb of the Sufi saint
- Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Beyond the
dargah is a building of unusual architecture,
Adhai din ka Jhopra or the two-and-a-half-day
hut. Also visit the Akbar's Palace which
houses the govt. museum and the Nasiyan
or the Red Jain temple-built in 1865 worth visiting
for its architectural splendour and depiction
of the concept of the perfect world according
to Jain mythology. Later visit the Taragarh
or the star Fort-built sometime in the 6th century
by the founder of Ajmer, built on a hill. Overnight
at hotel.

05 / Ajmer - Jodhpur (By Road - 205kms - 04hrs.)
After breakfast leave for Jodhpur through the
most interesting contours of the desert landscape
and proceed to your hotel. The enchanting forts,
temples, other royal residences and settlements
retain their medieval character and comprise the
town's multifaceted attractions. After lunch visit
the Jaswant Thada - constructed out of
thin sheets of marble which allow the sun to filter
in, built in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh
II in 1899. Overnight at hotel.

06 / Jodhpur
Morning visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort,
which dominates and offers spectacular vistas
of the blue-hued city. The afternoon will be free
and you may wish to explore on your own the bazaars
known for antiques and artifacts or for textiles.

07 / Jodhpur-Jaisalmer (By Road - 326kms - 08hrs)
Morning drive to the ancient caravan city of Jaisalmer.
Jaisalmer is one of the last princely bastions
in the region, founded on the crossroads of lucrative
trade routes. The rest of the day will be at your
leisure.

08 / Jaisalmer
Explore the honey-coloured fort that emerges from
the flat dry desert sands and enjoy a walk through
the maze of narrow streets in the city with ornately
decorated havelis. In the evening enjoy a camel
ride by the sand dunes.

09 / Jaisalmer - Bikaner (By Road 333kms. 8.5hrs.)
Morning drive to Bikaner, tucked away in the desert
region of western Rajasthan. Evening at leisure.

10 / Bikaner
Morning tour of Bikaner by visiting the unusual
Junagarh Fort sumptuously decorated with
its ornately lacquered walls in red & gold
and panels of dazzling coloured glass inlay set
over the coronation throne. After lunch excursion
tour to Deshnok (Karni Mata Temple) - devoted
to an incarnation of Durga. The sacred rats and
their life is reconfirmation of the almighty power
of the Goddess. Overnight at hotel.
