02 / Delhi
A leisurely breakfast followed by sightseeing
tour of New Delhi where ornate buildings recall
the days when India was the Jewel in the crown
of the British Empire. Visit the 11th century
Qutab Minar, India Gate and the
grand government buildings, the President's House,
Red fort, Mahatama Gandhi Memorial,
Also visit Laxmi Narayan temple popularly
known as Birla Temple. Overnight at hotel.

03 / Delhi / Jaipur (By Road - 250kms - 4hrs)
After breakfast drive to Jaipur - Known to many
as the Pink City, its buildings were painted
on the instruction of the Maharajah - rosy pink
being the colour his people associated with hospitality.
This is the only city in the world symbolizing
the nine divisions of the universe through the
nine rectangular sectors subdividing it. The palaces
and forts of the yesteryears, which were witnesses
to the royal processions and splendours, are now
living monuments.
Arrive Jaipur and transfer to hotel. After lunch
half day sightseeing covering City Palace
- the royal residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur
known for its stunning architecture. It also houses
a museum. Later visit Palace of Winds also known
as Hawa Mahal. This elaborate building, now little
more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate
screens and carved balconies from which the royal
ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneakily
view the outside world. Past, present and future
merge at Jai Singh's Observatory, where
time has been accurately measured since the 17th
century. Overnight at hotel.

04 / Jaipur - Sanganer - Jaipur
After breakfast visit the majestic Amber Fort,
one that cannot be easily described. You ride
up on Elephants to the former capital of the royals
set against the backdrop of the wooded hills.
After lunch excursion to a small village called
Sanganer -16kms south of Jaipur. This small
village is an important trade and industry center
and produces the finest hand-printed textiles
(block printing or silk screen). This textile
is wanted all over the country and abroad. There's
a fort in good state on Ajmer Road where manual
tanning and block printing by the use of simple
techniques is still practiced. The patterns are
made in huge tints. Evening back to Jaipur, Overnight
at hotel.

05 / Jaipur - Mt. Abu (By Road - 525kms - 12hrs)
Morning drive to Mt.Abu - built around
a lake and surrounded by forested hills. Besides
having all the features of a pleasant hill resort,
Mt.Abu is also well known for the famous Dilwara
Temples and many more archaeological remains.
Arrive Mt.Abu and transfer to hotel. Overnight
at hotel.

06 / Mt. Abu
After a leisurely breakfast, sightseeing tour
of Mt. Abu, and visiting the Nakki Lake.
The lake is studded with little islands. Gaumukh
temple - the place is ascribed to the legendary
hermit Sage Vashistha, who is said to have created
the 4 warrior Rajput clans out of a religious
fire. Visit to Dilwara temples built between the
11th and the 13th centuries. Overnight at hotel.

07 / Mt. Abu
Morning visit Sunset Point and the Honeymoon
Point. The setting of the sun against the
hilly backdrop presents a breathtaking view Later
visit Achalgarh (11kms away famous for temples
and a Fort) and Guru Shikhar, 15kms from Mt.Abu,
the highest peak in the Aravallis (1922m).

Morning drive to Udaipur - an oasis in the desert
state of Rajasthan. Arrive and transfer to hotel.

Palace, poised over Lake Pichola, iridescent

walking through the narrow, colourful winding

of Nagda and Eklingi only 15kms from Udaipur.

After breakfast sightseeing of Udaipur visiting
Bharatiya Lok Kala Museum (a museum
of folk art - Puppeteers regularly put up shows
here), Saheliyon ki Bari (the garden
of the maids-of-honour), Pratap memorial
(the monument is a homage to Rana Pratap and
his faithful steed), Fatehsagar (offers
visitors a cruise to the island garden, Nehru
Park), Lake Pichola (Surrounded
by hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and
embankments). Overnight at hotel.

12 / Udaipur - Chittaurgarh - Udaipur
Morning excursion to the historic city of Chittaurgarh
-112kms from Udaipur. Chittaurgarh was a well-established
citadel and the capital of Mewar, until emperor
Akbar conquered it. Chittaurgarh Fort stands about
180 meters high and at the summit it is 5km long
north to south, but only ¾ km at its widest,
east to west. In Chittaurgarh visit the Fort,
Vijay stambh and Kirti stambh later
back to Udaipur. Overnight at hotel.

13 / Udaipur - Kota (By Road - 284kms - 6hrs)
After breakfast drive to Kota - Rajasthan's largest
Industrial town situated on the banks of the river
chambal. Well known for its famous kota sarees
and also for a miniature school of art which specialized
in drawing of hunting scenes. Arrive Kota &
transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight
at hotel.

After breakfast sightseeing tour of Kota visiting
City Palace and Fort. Within the city palace is
the museum, which houses a good collection of
artifacts. Later visit the Chambal Gardens
- beautiful gardens around Kota along the Chambal
River, which has a crocodile sanctuary.

15 / Kota - Darrah - Kota
Morning excursion to Darrah Wildlife Sanctuary,
50kms from Kota where you can see the various
animals in their natural habitat like tiger, spotted
deer, panther, wild boar and beer etc. Evening
drive back to Kota. Overnight at hotel.

16 / Kota- Jaipur (By Road - 228kms - 05hrs)
Morning drive to Jaipur and transfer to hotel.
